Digging up a bit of Beech Street

The noise from 08:00 this morning came from Riney workers digging up the road at the junction of Beech St and Golden Lane.  I don't know what they are working on, but it is very noisy:

    It's a burst water main. I walked past yesterday and asked what was going on.
