Bodies in Urban Spaces is a choreographed trail by a group of dancers which will take place throughout the streets of Culture Mile. The performers lead the audience through public and hidden spaces, squeezing themselves in to small spaces and imitating everyday objects such as stairs and bollards. They are set up quickly and only existing temporarily, allowing the viewer to perceive the same space or place in a new and different way.

Impact on Estate:

Audience walk down Moor Lane past dancers. Highways Department notified and informed. Taking place at around 9am, 1pm and 6pm.

Dancers stand between concrete wall and car park wall on Moor Lane (1 x position, agreed in advance. See photo below) for 5 to 10 mins, three times a day. Audience walk down Moor Lane past dancers. Stewards are accredited traffic marshals and will steward car park appropriately for dancers and audience.

Dancers insert bodies into the rails by entrance to St Andrews House on Moor Lane. (1 x position, agreed in advance. See photo below) for 5 to 10 mins, three times a day. Audience walk down Moor Lane past dancers.

The dancers would like to sit in the archways along Postern as the audience walk either down Wood St looking up at them or along the highwalk past the dancers. This section of the show would be the second to last position held in the performance and the dancers would reach the site at around 9.10am, 1.10pm and 6.10pm.
